Introducing Plastic Surgeon Dr. Eric Emberton to The Plastic Surgery Center of East Tennessee
Dr. Gregory Pastrick, the founding plastic surgeon of The Plastic Surgery Center of East Tennessee, is proud to introduce Dr. Eric Emberton as the newest member of our esteemed team. Dr. Emberton’s journey to becoming a highly skilled plastic surgeon is a testament to his dedication, hard work, and passion for helping others.
Hometown Roots and Academic Excellence
Dr. Emberton grew up in a small town in southern Kentucky, where he developed a strong sense of community and a desire to make a positive impact. His academic journey began at Western Kentucky University, where he graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry and a minor in history. His exceptional performance in his undergraduate studies laid a solid foundation for his future medical career.
Medical Training and Achievements
Dr. Emberton continued his education at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. There, he excelled academically, graduating magna cum laude and ranking in the top 10 of his class. His achievements at Louisville underscored his commitment to medical excellence and set the stage for his advanced training in surgery.
He went on to complete a general surgery residency at the distinguished Cleveland Clinic in Florida. This rigorous training program provided him with extensive experience in a wide range of surgical procedures, honing his skills and deepening his knowledge of surgical techniques and patient care. To further specialize in plastic and reconstructive surgery, Dr. Emberton pursued a residency at Harvard Medical School. This highly prestigious program, known for its comprehensive curriculum and
emphasis on both aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, equipped him with advanced skills and a keen understanding of the latest advancements in the field.
A Passion for Life Beyond Medicine
Outside of his professional commitments, Dr. Emberton cherishes spending time with his wife and their two children. He finds joy in sharing quality moments with his family, which helps him maintain a balanced and fulfilling life. An avid fisherman, Dr. Emberton enjoys the tranquility and challenge of the sport, often taking time to explore various fishing spots. Additionally, he is passionate about fitness, weight training, and maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle.
